A few months ago, Nintendo revealed a new Zelda & Loftwing Amiibo for The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, which allows players to use a fast travel feature between the land and sky.
Although it was planned to launch today alongside the game, it seems some fans in the US may have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the figure. In a statement issued to IGN, Nintendo of America revealed that only a “small portion” of the amiibo will be available at launch due to some “unforeseen shipping delays”.
“The Zelda & Loftwing amiibo figure is currently impacted by unforeseen shipping delays. As a result, only a small portion of the Zelda & Loftwing will be available on its scheduled July 16 launch date. Additional shipments are delayed until August. We will ship additional amiibo to retailers as soon as they arrive.”
Nintendo further explained that they do not expect this delay to affect other amiibo figures, but did not elaborate on the exact cause. We will be sure to report back with more details should they become available.
