– there are multiple qualifiers to earn a place in the Pokémon World Championships
– there’s also a last Chance Qualifier
– Team Battle format, meaning players have to use 3 different characters from Pokkén Tournament DX on the Switch
– runs the standard Double Elimination brackets
– Oceania International Championships – Melbourne, Australia – February 15–17, 2019
– Europe International Championships Berlin, Germany – April 26 – 28, 2019
– North American International Championships Last Chance Qualifier @ Worlds – Washington D.C. – 2019
– top 4 at NA/EU International Championships, and top 2 at the Oceania International Championships will earn an invite
– prizes are as follows:
1st place: $1,250 and Worlds invitation
2nd place: $1,000 and Worlds invitation
3rd place: $750 and Worlds invitation*
4th place: $600 and Worlds invitation*
5th place tie: $450 each
7th place tie: $250 each
– winners at Pokémon World Championships are as follows
1st place: $6,000
2nd place: $4,000
3rd place: $3,000
4th place: $2,000
5th place tie: $1,500 each
