4 Things You Should Know About Charging Your Nintendo Switch

Besides issuing an advisory on third party charging cables and power banks, Nintendo announced a few measures Switch owners should keep in mind when charging their console.

Here are the list of items:

  1. Charge the Nintendo Switch in an environment where the temperature is between 5℃ to 35℃ (41°F to 95°F).
  2. Charge your Nintendo Switch at least once every 6 months. If the system isn’t charged for a long period of time, surplus electrical discharge may damage the console’s ability to charge.
  3. Repeatedly charging the Nintendo Switch will slowly reduce its overall battery life over time.
  4. In the event your Nintendo Switch fails to charge or it has a very short battery life, you will need to change the console’s battery by contacting Nintendo Support.
