Analogue, the company behind the upcoming Super NT that plays SNES game cartridges, has announced every Super NT will come packed in with a free digital copy of Super Turrican: Director’s Cut.
According to the company, the original and complete Super Turrican was initially a 6Mbit title on SNES. However after it was finished, it had to be cut to 4MBit, meaning to say no one has ever played it in its original 6MBit form.
Analogue has cut a deal with Factor 5, the developers of Super Turrican, to bring the original 6MBit form, calling it Super Turrican: Director’s Cut. The Director’s Cut will feature new levels, new music, better sounds and graphics, and “a new way to use the beam weapon”.
A SNES style box that resembles the Director’s Cut will be included with every Super NT.
In addition, the original Super Turrican and Super Turrican 2 games will be installed digitally on every Super NT at no additional charge.
