Animal Crossing: New Horizons Sold 3.5 Times More Physical Launch Copies Than New Leaf In The UK

It looks like Animal Crossing: New Horizons is truly making bank for Nintendo!

According to new sales estimates for the Switch title in the UK, its launch saw around 3.5 times the number of physical copies sold compared to the previous entry in the series (Animal Crossing: New Leaf for 3DS). We don’t have exact sales figures right now – but that’s definitely an impressive boost!

In fact, the same sales figures even indicate that Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ UK launch sales were bigger than the launch of every other Animal Crossing games combined, including spin-offs. This would make it the largest standalone Switch launch by far in the country – unless you combine the sales of Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield together.

Of course, we don’t know the total sales figure of the game worldwide right now – but we’ll report back when we hear more. Stay tuned!
