Nintendo is planning to support Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for the long haul, and that includes a stream of new content. Japanese site 4Gamer received the opportunity to speak with the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp development team, asking them what the team has in store for the future.
One of the things that 4Gamer asked was the return of old and prominent characters from past Animal Crossing games such as Tortimer in Pocket Camp. The team says they are slowly introducing these characters in subsequent updates and are thinking how to implement in a meaningful way. For example Resetti appears when the game is undergoing maintenance.
New animals and furniture will be added to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp every month. The team is currently thinking of how to add new varieties of fishes and bugs into the game, and are considering the possibility of adding new tools into the game. They didn’t rule out the possibility of adding completely new animals and other main characters to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
4Gamer also asked whether the developers would implement features that would improve the user experience, such as allowing friends to purchase materials in the marketplace from each other and helping everyone in Shovelstrike Quarry with a tap of the button. The team says they are listening to feedback and would think about it.
