Looking forward to the release of Japanese visual novel Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue on consoles? Well, you might want to take note of which version to get…if you want to get the full experience.
Publisher PQube Games has officially confirmed that the PS4 version of the game will launch in the west with four scenes modified and three scenes completely axed from the game. PQube did not elaborate further on the matter – but given Sony’s heavier push for censorship of sexual themes in Japanese games recently, it’s not hard to guess what kinds of scenes may have been affected by this change.
Fortunately, it looks like the game’s western release on Switch will be keeping all of its content intact. When asked about the Switch version of the game, PQube clarified that the it would not have any scenes removed or modified.
