Take A Blast To The Past With The Super Mario Challenge, A Long-Forgotten 1990s Game Show

These certainly aren’t the Nintendo Championships from your childhood.

The illustrious Larry Bundy Jr. is back with another retro-analysis of a long-forgotten part of Nintendo history. Namely, he unearths a European Game Show called ‘The Super Mario Challenge‘ – which originally aired in Europe during the 1990s. As seen in his video, young participants would go toe-to-toe with each other to see who could finish Mario levels first – much like the film The Wizard (1989).

And like most 1990s game shows, it was some nasty, cheap, and yet charming stuff. Check it out below.
