Bowsette Receives A Twitter Trend Award For 2018

Despite fading quietly into the annals of 2018, it seems like fan-character Bowsette has made quite a mark on Twitter.

Today, the Peach-lookalike version of the Koopa King received a special mention during this year’s Twitter Trend Awards 2018. This is undoubtedly in reference to the wave of popularity that exploded after one artist drew Bowser wearing the Super Crown.

Perhaps this should have been expected. From videogame mods, custom amiibo, and even adult content – Bowsette has been permeating into all kinds of communities online! It’ll be interesting to see if the female Koopa King ever makes the headlines again, in 2019.
