Dataminer: Pokemon Sword And Shield Has Same Shiny Rates As Past Games

Pokemon dataminer Kaphotics has revealed details on Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Kaphotics has confirmed that the shiny rates in Pokemon Sword and Shield are the same as the previous mainline games. This means you have a 1 out of 4096 chance to catch a Shiny Pokemon in the wild.

The dataminer also confirmed a Shiny Charm exists in the game. A Shiny Charm helps to increase the probability of catching a Shiny Pokemon in the wild.

There’s still much to learn about catching Shiny Pokemon in the games, as we still do not know how reroll counts are granted under various conditions.
