Earlier today, Bandai Namco launched Digimon World: Next Order on Switch.
Although the game is a port of the Playstation 4 version, it seems it is missing one key feature that was present in that release. According to reports from ResetEra, the Switch version of the game does not appear to have the option to swap from English voices to Japanese, leaving players stuck with the English voices as the default.
What makes this especially odd however, is that the PC version, is releasing at the same time as the Switch version, has this option intact, meaning its only missing from the Switch release.
At the time of this writing, it is not clear if Bandai Namco intends to patch the Japanese voices into the Switch version at some point, or if they intentionally omitted them for some unknown reason. Stay tuned for more updates should they become available.
