Electronic Arts has announced they will not be holding their annual EA Play Live event for 2022.
For those who may not be aware, EA Play Live is the name of Electronic Arts’ annual digital presentation that is typically held around E3. According to a statement issued to IGN, EA has been facing some difficulties getting the dominos in place for the usual big presentation, and has instead opted to reveal their projects individually “when the time is right” this year. Presumably, this means we can expect to see some smaller announcements from the publisher over the course of 2022.
You can read their full statement below:
We love EA Play Live as it’s our way of connecting with our players and sharing what’s new with all of you. However, this year things aren’t lining up to show you everything on one date. We have exciting things happening at our world-class studios and this year we’ll reveal much more about these projects when the time is right for each of them. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year!
