It looks like Elder Scrolls Online fans will not be playing the game in bed (or on the loo) anytime soon.
In a recent interview with GameSpot, Game Director Matt Firor spoke about the likelihood of a Switch port – although he had bad news to share:
“We have thought about Switch but ESO is an enormous game, and it just will not work. I would love for it to because I love Switch. It is one of the largest games ever made, and it just will not fit on Switch.”
Unfortunately, the odds look pretty slim. File sizes have long been an issue for the Nintendo Switch – with several physical games requiring extra downloads. It seems like the same issue is also plaguing any chance of ESO making it to the Switch.
Sadly, it seems like Switch owners will just have to be satisfied with playing Skyrim for the twentieth time.
