Expert Finds Thousands Of Fake Entries Consenting To Kagawa’s Video Game Time Limit Law

Last month, the Japanese prefecture of Kagawa passed a controversial law restricting the video game play time of minors to 1 hour on weekdays and 1.5 hours on weekends.

Before the law was passed by lawmakers, the prefecture wanted to find out about the views of residents. Although 2269 residents approved of the bill, forensic experts have discovered that, most of the entries that were made are fake.

According to these experts, out of the 2269 consenting entries, over 1700 entries were made by 4 different people and not 1700 people. This was discovered by looking at the entries’ IP address and user agent, which shows the operating system and browser used by the user.

It’s unclear what is going to happen after this has come to light, so we will have to wait and see.
