Fire Emblem: Three Houses Loses Top Spot On Japanese Sales Charts This Week, Thanks To Super Mario Maker 2

Famitsu has announced the video game sales rankings for Japan from the period of July 29 to August 4, 2019.

Surprisingly, Fire Emblem: Three Houses fell to second place this week with 35,804 units sold – just barely losing out to Super Mario Maker 2 (which sold 36,486 units). Meanwhile, the lewd dungeon crawler Omega Labyrinth Life only debuted at 9th place this week – with a paltry 6,643 units sold.

As per the trend in past weeks, Nintendo Switch hardware sales continued to spiral downwards – likely because the handheld-only Nintendo Switch Lite will be launching soon in September 2019. Namely, only 36,613 regular Switch units moved this week, as compared to 42,689 units previously.
