Square Enix has announced The World Ends With You UG Shibuya Fes, a special event for the upcoming anime series.
The event consists of two parts, the first being an online advance screening of the first episode of the anime’s first episode. This online premier will also include a live talk session with the cast and crew, available in Japanese and English. In addition, a special skateboard featuring artwork associated with the game will also be sold as limited edition merchandise.
The premier will be broadcast on March 14th via the streaming service Zaiko. Fans who want to catch the show will have to purchase tickets, available at the following tiers:
- World Premier – ¥2,200 (or $20)
- World Premiere and Talk Session with Cast – ¥3,300 (or $30)
- World Premiere and Limited Edition Merchandise – ¥17,600 (or $164)
- World Premiere and Talk Session with Cast and Limited Edition Merchandise – ¥18,700 (or $175)
The second part of the event is an art exhibition at the UG SHIBUYA Museum, which includes “Important documentation related to the settings of the animation, unpublished artwork, fan art, and others”. Admissions to this exhibition are free, and it will run from March 14 till July 30, 2021. A digital version of this exhibition is also available, but will only be accessible until March 31st.
