Tetris 99 20th Maximus Cup Features Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Theme

Nintendo has announced the next Maximus Cup competition for Tetris 99, which features Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.

The 20th Maximus Cup for Tetris 99 will give players a chance to earn a special theme based on Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury by accumulating 100 event points. It will begin later this week on March 4th, and run till March 8th.

This coming weekend’s Tetris 99 20^th MAXIMUS CUP event allows you to earn an in-game theme based on the Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game. Demonstrate your fur-midable puzzle prowess with Tetris 99 on the Nintendo Switch^™ system and claw your way to the top of the rankings in this fierce and furious MAXIMUS CUP.

The Tetris 99 20^th MAXIMUS CUP event runs from 11 p.m. PT on March 4 to 10:59 p.m. PT on March 8. To participate, Nintendo Switch Online members just need to play the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period. Players will earn event points based on their placement in each match. Once players have accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring background art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
