Guide: Completing The Festivale Event For Animal Crossing: New Horizons

For the whole of tomorrow, a special event called Festivale will be running for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During the event, the special character Pave will appear on players’ islands, giving them the opportunity to earn exclusive Festivale themed items. To help players who want to complete the event quickly, we present a quick guide explaining how to complete the event below.

Starting Festivale

The Festivale event is held near the start of every year for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The date may change depending on the year, but for 2021 it will be held on February 15th 2021.

It will run for a full 24 hours starting from 5AM.

In order to access the event, players must have their game updated to the latest version and have resident services unlocked.

Once Festivale has arrived, Pave will appear outside Resident Services. Talking to him will trigger the event proper.

Completing Festivale

After speaking to Pave, he will give the player the Rainbow Feather DIY crafting recipe.

Following this, feathers of various colors will begin floating in the air across the island. Feathers serve as a type of currency for the event, and must be given to Pave in exchange them for the exclusive furniture rewards.

There are a total of five different colours of feather (Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Rainbow). Rainbow feathers are exceptionally rare to see floating around, but can be crafted by combining 1 of each of the other four colours.

Players can trade feathers with villagers to get other colours. For example, a stack of Blue feathers can be traded for a stack of Green feathers.

Pave will accept the following trades for exclusive furniture:

3 Red/Blue/Green/Purple Feathers can be exchanged for 1 Festivale Furniture item of that colour.

1 Rainbow Feather can be exchanged for 1 Rainbow colored Festivale Furniture item.

After obtaining the first nine Festivale furniture items, Pave will accept 3 Rainbow Feathers in exchange for the exclusive Festivale Float Furniture item.

Do note that feathers are needed in order to customize Festivale Furniture items into different colours, so it is recommended to stock up on a few extra feathers if players plan on customizing their Festivale items in the future.
