Here Are The File Sizes For Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Packs

The Japanese My Nintendo Store has revealed the file sizes for various first-party Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Packs.

Upgrade Packs allow owners of a Nintendo Switch game to enjoy improved performance and graphics on Nintendo Switch 2. Some Upgrade Packs also contain additional gameplay content not found in the base game.

Here are the file sizes for various Upgrade Packs when you download them on the Nintendo eShop:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack: 9.7GB
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack: 3.6GB
  • Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV Upgrade Pack: 7.7GB
  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World Upgrade Pack: 5.7GB

While it’s currently unclear how large a full Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (inclusive of the Switch game and Upgrade Pack) would be, we can roughly extrapolate by adding the file sizes of the Switch game and Upgrade Packs to get an estimate:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: 24.1GB (14.4GB + 9.7GB)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: 19.9GB (16.3GB + 3.6GB)
  • Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV: 13GB (5.3GB + 7.7GB)
  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World: 11.4GB (5.7GB + 5.7GB)
