Today, we’ve received confirmation on the company that brought Wii and GameCube titles to Nvidia Shield in China.
According to a Weibo post and Super Mario Galaxy’s boot screen on the Shield, the company that ported these Wii and GameCube titles is Nvidia Lightspeed Studios.
Nvidia Lightspeed Studios is a development team dedicated to remastering and remaking classic PC games and bringing them to Android and Nvidia Shield. Their previous projects include Half Life 2, Portal, and DOOM 3.
The involvement of Nvidia Lightspeed Studios pretty much confirms Nintendo has almost no involvement in the porting process of Wii and GameCube titles to Nvidia Shield.
