Following the release of Fire Emblem Engage, the full details about how amiibo work with the game have surfaced online.
After playing the game up to Chapter 6, players will be able to start scanning amiibo using the amiibo Gazebo in the Somniel’s Orchard. Up to five different amiibo can be scanned per day.
As mentioned previously, the majority of amiibo can be scanned to unlock useful items such as food and tonics to use in-game. However, Fire Emblem amiibo have a unique function that unlocks costumes and music from past games in the series.
In an interesting turn of events, specific costumes and music are not tied to any specific amiibo. Instead, scanning any Fire Emblem amiibo grants players one fashion ticket and one music ticket, which can then be used to unlock any of the special costumes or music tracks of the player’s choice, regardless of what amiibo was scanned. As a small caveat, it seems players will only be able to unlock outfits from Emblem characters they have already obtained.
