Olivier Raymond, an industrial designer who comes up with concepts and mockups for various products, shared pictures of what he calls the “Nintendo Switch Up”.
Nintendo Switch Up is Raymond’s vision of an upgraded, upscaled, and updated Nintendo Switch model that is lighter and more powerful. Unlike the current Switch, it doesn’t have any detachable Joy-Con but a very sleek and modern design:
The Nintendo Switch Up comes with a “Clever Dock”. The back of the Switch Up is contoured in such a way to fit the dock:
The Clever Dock, Raymond says, will allow users to stream games in 1080p thanks to extra processing power from the dock itself:
It’s also capable of asymmetric gameplay the Wii U was capable of, where the player can enjoy gameplay on two screens at the same time:
Colors of the Switch Up include Phazon Black, Cloud White, Master Blue, Iggy Green, Ink Pink and the 90’s classic Atomic Purple.
Last but not least, some pretty amazing looking packaging:
Raymond says the Switch Up is a “love letter” to Nintendo, one of his favorite companies. He hopes they will continue to “upset the status quo” for many decades to come.
