Media Create has published the latest sales data for the Japanese market for the period between October 15 and October 21, 2018.
Let’s take a look at the bestselling Switch titles of the week first. Super Mario Party came in No. 2 on the overall bestseller charts, moving 36,381 units in its third week. The game has now sold 242,700 copies.
Dark Souls Remastered, which launched last week worldwide for Nintendo Switch, debuted No. 4 with 14,646 copies sold. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy launched last week on Nintendo Switch in Japan and moved 5,217 units (No. 11 on the bestsellers list). That’s lower than Minecraft (No. 7), Splatoon 2 (No. 8), and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (No. 9), so you probably know by now it isn’t very popular there.
And now onto hardware sales – the Nintendo Switch maintains a firm grip on the hardware market, moving 42,148 consoles. The Switch captured 58% of the market last week.
