The official My Nintendo Store in Japan has started selling Nintendo Switch branded memory cards manufactured by HORI.
These memory cards come in three different sizes – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Although the cards are branded for Nintendo Switch, they are no different from their Samsung counterparts in terms of functionality, which are available at a much lower price even when not applying My Nintendo’s 50% gift coupon.
For example, the Samsung 128GB memory card is priced at 8640 yen (inclusive of sales tax), while the HORI 128GB memory card retails for 14,018 yen. Upon applying the coupon, the Samsung variation is further reduced to 4320 yen. Keep in mind the discount cannot be used with the Switch branded HORI memory cards.
