Earlier this week, Nintendo released a new trailer for Kirby And The Forgotten Land, which revealed its release date as well as some new details about gameplay and story.
Thanks to the game’s newly updated Japanese listing, we also now have confirmation that the game will include amiibo support. This listing also confirms that the game will only support local couch co-op, with no option to play online or via a local connection with another Switch.
At the time of this writing, the specifics of what amiibo will do in the game have not been revealed. Going by other games, all amiibo will most likely be compatible, but the Kirby series amiibo will most likely have some unique functionality. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
