The internet fandom and memes around Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just get weirder all the time, and this weekend was no exception.
Recently, McDonald’s Canada actually responded graciously to a question about its mascot Ronald making it into the latest Super Smash Bros. game. While the fast-food company obviously shot down this possibility on the spot – it’s still hilarious to see the repartee between Smash fans and tired corporations.
Hilariously enough, some fans joked that the ‘as of right now‘ comment meant that the fast-food clown would eventually make it into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Personally, we’re not certain if a fast-food mascot would actually be fit enough to compete in the Smash Bros. series. Let’s just hope Masahiro Sakurai doesn’t get any weird ideas from this short-lived meme.
