A large number of users living in Japan are reporting a major bug in Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. which is causing their Nintendo Switch systems to crash.
According to user reports, the bug causes the game to crash randomly at any point of time. One user reported that the game has crashed for him 4 times. All of the users whose systems have crashed encountered the same error code, 2203-0513.
Fortunately, Nintendo support has found a workaround to prevent the game from crashing. Nintendo advises users who are encountering this issue to turn off the “Hunter Search” feature inside the game while playing with the Joy-Con detached from the system or when using the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
According to Nintendo, there’s a high chance the “Hunter Search” function in Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. is interfering with the wireless connection that allows the Switch and other controllers to communicate, thus causing the crash. They also added a future system update will fix the issue, and there’s nothing wrong with the game.
