A USGamer report (Link) has confirmed on that NBA 2K18 for the Nintendo Switch will support all features found on other competing consoles, except logo creation for Pro-Am teams. On top of that amiibo functionality has also been confirmed for the game, although 2K and Nintendo are currently mum about what sort of functionality amiibo figures will unlock.
Everything about NBA 2K18 for the Nintendo Switch will be identical to competing consoles, from game engine to gameplay mechanics and AI. This comes as a contrast to EA’s FIFA 18 decision to use a custom engine for the Nintendo Switch’s version of the game.
However, it is good to note that even with all the same features, the Nintendo Switch is only capable of pushing the game out at 30FPS when docked compared to 60FPS on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. USGamer’s Editor-in-Chief, Kat Bailey also noted that the graphic on the Nintendo Switch appears slightly smudgy and reminiscent of the last generation.
