Ever since the Pokemon Sword And Shield Expansion Pass was announced, Nintendo has reminding players not to buy the wrong version of the Expansion Pass. For example, Pokemon Sword owners should purchase the Sword Expansion Pass, and Pokemon Shield owners should purchase the Shield Expansion Pass.
Even so, there still appear to be quite a few players getting confused and purchasing the wrong pass, leaving them unable to access the content. Luckily, it seems that Nintendo Of America has taken notice of this, and has been instructing such players to contact customer support if they purchase the wrong pass.
According to reports, contacting customer support in this case may allow players to receive a refund for the Expansion Pass if they mistakenly purchased it for the version they do not own. If you are one such individual, you can get in touch with Nintendo’s customer support here.
