Nintendo has announced their first official event in India.

The event is scheduled to take place from September 5th to September 6th, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at R City Mall in Mumbai. Visitors will be able to try out a variety of Switch 1 games at the venue, including Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and more. There will also be giveaways for merchandise in exchange for playing games, participating in surveys, as well as other activities. However, no Nintendo hardware or games will be sold at the event.

This news comes after rumors surfaced that Nintendo was planning to officially launch the Switch 1 in India, and this event certainly lends them ore legitimacy. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
