Nintendo Blocks Popular Youtuber’s Homebrew Switch Videos

Modern Vintage Gamer, a popular Youtuber with close to 200,000 subscribers, is ceasing his coverage of Nintendo Switch homebrew.

According to the Youtuber, Nintendo issued copyright takedowns on almost every single video. He claims this is unfair as it’s “fair use” to discuss about homebrew and modding, which is “100% open source and legal”.

You can hear his thoughts on the matter below:

Reactions to the takedown are mixed – some in the community support Nintendo’s move as homebrew could open the door to piracy, while others disagreed and claim it’s going too far.

What do you think? Do you feel is it fair or unfair? Let us know in the comments!
