Nintendo Needs A Local Partner To Bring More Smartphone Apps To China

While Nintendo’s smartphone apps have made it to most of the world, one important market that has a billion people in the world has been left out until today – China.

During Nintendo’s Q&A session for investors, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said that the company recognizes China as a very large market, but to bring and expand their smartphone apps and IP in China, they think it is important to find and work together with a local partner first.

Nintendo will continue looking out for potential companies in China who wish to work with them in this endeavor. Hopefully it’ll be soon!
