In order to comply with new EU regulations, Nintendo will soon be releasing a revised model of Joy-con with replaceable batteries.
To assist owners with this process, Nintendo of Europe has released articles demonstrating how to replace the battery for both the Left Joy-Con and Right Joy-Con. Owners will have to purchase a dedicated battery replacement kit, which comes with a new battery and all the tools needed to carry out the replacement, including a screwdriver, plastic tweezers, plastic spudger, and double-sided tape to fix the battery in place.
The articles include detailed instructions and images for owners to follow along, giving us a better look at the new interiors of the joy-con.
Currently, these new model of Joy-cons are only known to be releasing in Europe. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
