Nintendo Opens Official Website For Newly Acquired “Nintendo Pictures”

Following word of the acquisition earlier this year, Nintendo has launched an official website for its newly acquired visual content company “Nintendo Pictures”.

Formerly known as Dynamo Pictures, “Nintendo Pictures” will be a company that focuses on creating “Visual Content” using Nintendo IP. Presumably, this refers to animation projects or similar content, as Nintendo previously worked with Dynamo Pictures to create animated shorts and game cutscenes.

The official site can be found in Japanese here, and contains a short message detailing Nintendo’s plans, which translates to the following via Google:

“Nintendo Pictures Co., Ltd. is a video production company wholly owned by Nintendo Co., Ltd.

We aim to have consumers around the world learn about Nintendo characters through video, and to create unique videos that will remain in their memories forever.

To that end, each and every one of our employees will always think about what our customers around the world will find interesting, and we will work hard to create an organisation that can continue to grow by engaging in video production with interest.

We will continue to challenge ourselves to continue providing unique and surprising images to customers around the world, transcending generations and eras.”

Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
