Nintendo Says Shironeko Project Lawsuit And Game Business Are Two Separate Matters

Earlier this week, Colopl announced a new Shironeko Project (White Cat Project) for Nintendo Switch, scheduled to launch in 2020.

What took many by surprise is the fact that Colopl is developing a new game for Switch and Nintendo has no objections to it. This is because Nintendo is currently fighting Colopl in court for five patent infringement cases.

Nintendo has told Nikkei that both the lawsuit and video game business are two separate matters that are unrelated, so Colopl is free to make games for the Switch.
