Earlier this year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons made its debut on Nintendo Switch and exploded in popularity – especially during a global pandemic keeping many at home. Having swept the sales charts as one of Nintendo’s most successful Switch titles so far, it now looks like the game has also been keeping the internet’s attention for quite a big chunk of this year!
Twitter Japan has published the results of #ThisHappened for 2020 – which lists the most popular topics on its platform, from 1 January 2020 – 15 November 2020.
