Nintendo Switch Game Voucher Offer “Not Currently Scheduled To Return” In North America

Earlier, we reported that the Nintendo Switch Game Voucher offer – which lets Switch Online subscribers get a discount for two first-party games – finally expired in North America. If you’re wondering whether the offer will ever return in the near future, however, you may need to prepare yourself for more disappointment.

Nintendo of America recently updated their FAQs for the voucher offer with a new entry. In particular, the tidbit addresses whether Switch Online subscribers in the US will be able to purchase the vouchers again someday:

As of July 31, 2019, Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are no longer available for purchase. Previously purchased Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can be redeemed for eligible digital titles up to 12 months from the purchase date. Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are not currently scheduled to return, but Nintendo of America is continually evaluating special offers for Nintendo Switch Online members.

Sadly, it looks like the awesome discount will not be making its return to North America for now. Meanwhile, Switch Online subscribers in Europe and Japan will still get to enjoy the deal for the foreseeable future.
