Yesterday, Nintendo released a version 7.0.0 update for Nintendo Switch, adding Chinese and Korean support as well as new avatar icons.
Besides these new features, the company quietly added new security measures to stop hackers and pirates from abusing the system. Unfortunately, it seems that the new security measures were defeated in under 4 hours by a hacker named elmirorac, who also received assistance from homebrew community leader SciresM.
Hackers and pirates are now celebrating this piece of news all over the Internet. It seems there’s little Nintendo could do other than release a Switch hardware revision to stop the hacks, which was what SciresM said last year.
