Nintendo has announced that their official stores in Japan, Nintendo TOKYO/OSAKA/KYOTO, will not be selling Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and accessories for the time being.
The company recommended customers to sign up for the Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order lottery on the My Nintendo Store website if they wish to get one.
While the sale of Nintendo Switch 2 games wasn’t ruled out in the company’s announcement, we’ll have to wait and see what happens on June 5.
It’s also worth noting that things will be different for Nintendo’s official stores in the United States – both Nintendo NEW YORK and Nintendo SAN FRANSISCO will sell the Nintendo Switch 2 to customers who pre-register in advance.
