Previously, we reported that a HD version of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box was launching for smartphones in Japan. Well, it looks like we could be hearing more about a western release pretty soon!
The official Professor Layton twitter profile has posted a picture of an iconic train ticket from the original DS release of the game. It essentially teases that fans could soon be returning to Folsense – the main setting of Diabolical Box. There haven’t been any other projects related to the second Professor Layton game up to this point – so it’s almost certainly related to the HD mobile port somehow!
While we have no official confirmation of what all this means at the moment, we’ll report back when we hear more. Until then, you can also check out the HD mobile port of the first game – Professor Layton and the Curious Village.
