Today, NintendoSoup has new information to report on Pokemon Center Singapore, scheduled to officially open on April 17 with its soft opening on April 11, 2019.
As you know, The Pokemon Company treats the opening and renewal of various Pokemon Center locations in Japan as a very important affair. That is why, as we have seen with Pokemon Center Yokohama Renewal and Pokemon Center Kyoto Renewal, the company gave special gifts for customers who purchase products at the store during a limited period of time. Even visitors who window shop are entitled to receive gifts such as post cards.
Sad to say this appears not to be the case for Pokemon Center Singapore, the first overseas Pokemon Center outside Japan. Multiple sources have confirmed with NintendoSoup that they have not seen any evidence of purchase bonuses for merchandise, purchase bonuses for Pokemon TCG, or special freebies whatsoever.
Hopefully that will change but given we are a few days away from the store’s soft opening, it is unlikely to happen.
