It looks like Pokemon GO players will soon be able to experience a blast from the past!
Niantic and The Pokemon Company have announced a “Community Day Classic” event for the mobile game that will take place on 22 January 2022 (2pm to 5pm local time). Making its return will be the featured Pokemon Bulbasaur from the Kanto region – and if players evolve Ivysaur (the evolved form of Bulbasaur) into Venusaur during the event or up to two hours afterwards, it will learn the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.
Bonus buffs during the event will include 3 times Catch XP, 3-hour incense, 3-hour lure modules. Additionally, a Special Research story titled “Bulbasaur Community Day Classic” will also be available for $1 USD.
