The Pokemon Company has announced when they will be adding Pokemon HOME support to the Switch versions of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.
As announced on the official website, players will be able to transfer their Pokemon from FireRed and LeafGreen to Pokemon HOME on Switch sometime in October 2026. Furthermore, players who have completed their FireRed and LeafGreen Pokedex will receive the Mythical Pokemon Celebi as a gift. Unlike similar gifts for other games, players will not be required to transfer their Pokemon into HOME for it to count, and the app will read their FireRed and LeafGreen save data instead.

Other updates to the app will include support for the Pokemon GO Pokemon that were captured in the GO Safari Ball, as well as an increase in the amount of available Pokemon slots for Premium subscribers from 3000 to 9000.
