The Pokemon Company has released a new version update for Pokemon HOME.

The update brings the app up to Version 4.1.0, and adds support for the Switch versions of Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen. Players will be able to transfer Pokemon from these two titles up to Pokemon HOME, but will not be able to transfer Pokemon back into the ports. Players who complete the Pokedex for the two games will also receive the Mythical Pokemon Celebi as a gift in Pokemon HOME.

A summary of the new additions can be found below via Serebii.Net:

• Connectivity with Pokémon FireRed & Pokémon LeafGreen, allowing for one-way transfer of Pokémon from these games into Pokémon HOME.
  • This can be done one box at a time and Pokémon cannot be returned to the game.
  • You can also only transfer one of each species of Special Pokémon from a game.
  • The Pokédex in your Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen game will sync each time you send one Pokémon over
• Box space has also been increased for all players with a Premium membership, allowing for a total of 300 boxes and 9,000 Pokémon to be stored
• You can now transfer Pokémon in GO Safari Balls from Pokémon GO into Pokémon HOME. The Poké Ball that it will then be displayed as being in will be a Strange Ball
