Pokemon Legends Arceus Crosses 13.9 Million Units Sold, Surpassing Heartgold/Soulsilver

Nintendo has published their latest earnings report for 2022, revealing that Pokemon Legends Arceus has crossed a major sales milestone.

According to Nintendo, Pokemon Legends Arceus recently crossed 13.9 million units sold worldwide. As pointed out by Serebii.net’s Joe Merrick, this means that it has surpassed the lifetime sales of Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver, widely regarded as among the best Pokemon games of all time. This is a particularly astonishing feat considering that Legends Arceus broke the trend of Pokemon games releasing as dual versions, meaning it achieved this as a single released game.

You can check out Merrick’s post below for a comparison of the latest sales figures across all released mainline Pokemon titles:

With Pokemon Scarlet And Violet poised to potentially break sales records of its own, it will be interesting to see how the new games perform moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
