Japanese magazine Famitsu has revealed that Pokemon Scarlet And Violet have set a new record for the franchise in Japan.
According to Famitsu’s data, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet have become the new best-selling Pokemon games of all time in Japan with over 8.3 million copies sold. This figure shatters the record set by the original Pokemon Red and Green, which held the title for 28 years, the entirety of the series’ lifespan.
Although we will no doubt see many more Pokemon games released over the next few years, it remains uncertain whether any of them will be able to break such a record again. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
