As we’ve reported previously, Pokemon Sword/Shield’s art director James Turner continues to be a fairly active illustrator even when he isn’t directly working on the Pokemon series itself. From drawing Kirby as an office manager to creating a short film about living traffic cones, Turner often dabbles in other franchises – and this weekend was no exception!
With Metroid Dread now on the horizon, Turner shared a new tribute illustration for the Metroid series in his trademark artstyle. Namely, it features both Samus and her arch-nemesis Ridley in a fierce battle – which pays homage to the classic cover artwork of Super Metroid!
