A special art exhibition featuring Pokemon is currently touring Japan.
The exhibition is titled “Pokemon X Kogei: Playful Encounters of Pokemon and Japanese Craft”, and features works by twenty different craft artists themed around Pokemon, some of whom are classified as Living National Treasures by the Japanese government. The exhibition has toured Japan and even the United States in the past, and will be appearing at various Japanese museums throughout the rest of 2024 and 2025 along the following schedule:
- Azabudai Hills Gallery: November 1, 2024 – February 2, 2025
- Matsuzakaya Art Gallery: April 26th (Sat.) to June 15th (Sun.) 2025
- Hachinohe Art Museum: June 28th (Sat.) to August 31st (Sun.) 2025
- Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture: September 12th (Fri.) to November 30th (Sun.) 2025 (planned)
Aside from the art pieces, there will also be a variety of goods available, including an exclusive Pikachu plush, as well as tote bags, pins, pouches, and more based on the works.
