Japanese Pokemon trainers have been fascinated and charmed by the giant Detective Pikachu amiibo, which was revealed last Friday in Japan.
The amiibo has been so popular that pre-orders have completely sold out across major Japanese retailers, including but not limited to Rakuten Books, Amazon Japan, Bic Camera, Yodobashi Camera, HMV, and AmiAmi. The only retailer left standing is the official My Nintendo Store.
For reference, pre-orders for last year’s Splatoon 2 amiibo have never ever sold out from the day pre-orders started up till launch in Japan.
