Nintendo has issued an important PSA about the dangers of leaving the Switch unattended around pets.
As mentioned in their post on X/Twitter, leaving the Switch within reach of your pet may lead to them drooling or urinating on the device. This may cause the Switch to malfunction due to water exposure. And yes, Nintendo’s post does explicitly use the words “drool” and “urine” to describe what pets might do to an unattended Switch.
Interestingly, this is the second time that Nintendo has issued this warning, making one wonder if this is a common problem. Players are advised to ensure that the Switch is kept out of reach from animals to avoid running into this issue.
